strange brew....

This is June in California? Thunderstroms, hail, lightning strikes and tornado warnings? That was yesterday and today is sunny but still cool. So strange....but I actually love it. Well not the tornado warning and lightning strikes but I'm not a hot weather gal and I'll take this over out 100+ summers anyday. I'll just have to keep stocking up on our allergy meds, lol.

something's missing.....

Where oh where did Spring go? It seems our Spring decided to go on holiday for a few days. Woke up to frost on the grass and rooftops again and huge gray clouds keep rolling in. So strange...

Got both of my ATC's done. Yay!! One for my Artful Bag Challenge atc swap and one for Blissfull ATC swap. Now I can work on my fairy wand!

winter into.....summer?

Just like that the weather did a complete turn around. Last week we were pummeled with high winds, flooding and freezing temps and yesterday and today it's been 81 degrees.  Nearly all the pretty blossoms on the trees have given way to leafy greens. I hope we still get a little bit more of Spring. I'm not quite ready for Summer yet....actually I'm never ready for Summer, at least not the crazy heat we get here anyway. But it is wonderful to have more daylight later in the day. Twilight and dusk are my very favorite times of the day.

I'm really excited about the Spring Fairy Wand swap I joined over at Bliss Angels. Already getting ideas so I hope I can come up with the perfect one for the Fairy Queen.

a bit of sun

What a mess the storm left behind this weekend! The storm that blew in on Saturday was a pretty big one. Trees came down and we were on flood alert until early Sunday morning. It's always nerve wracking when we get one of those considering our house is about a half mile from the river. But the sun decided to come out today, at least for a little bit until the rain comes back again tomorrow.

Working on some art again and playing with a new background for my other blog. I've been really drawn to a much darker pallete lately and I'm just loving it. Not sure if it's the circus theme or maybe I'm finally finding my own style....which is definitely not pastel.
